Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez did not treat him well during negotiations before his 2018 transfer to Juventus. Despite winning the Champions League that season, Ronaldo left for €100 million, citing a desire for a new chapter. He later stated that Pérez initially agreed but tried to reverse the decision, though Ronaldo remained committed to Juventus.

In the latest interview with Edu Aguirre, Cristiano Ronaldo discussed his departure from Real Madrid in 2018 and his subsequent move to Juventus. Ronaldo, who is now playing for Al-Nassr, shared his perspective on the negotiations, claiming that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez did not treat him well during the process. Despite initially accepting Ronaldo’s desire for a new chapter, Pérez reportedly attempted to change his mind later on. However, Ronaldo stood firm, as he had already committed to Juventus.

During his time at Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018, Ronaldo became the club’s all-time top scorer with 450 goals and 131 assists in 438 appearances. He won 15 major honors with the club, including four Champions League titles. In 2018, he transferred to Juventus for €100 million and played for three seasons, winning five trophies, including two Serie A titles.

Ronaldo also emphasized that his legacy doesn’t rely on reaching 1,000 career goals, stating that he is already “the best in history.” As of now, he has scored 923 goals and 257 assists in 1,261 appearances across all competitions.
