WATCH, BGT | Jaiswal takes a cheeky dig at Konstas for missing the “good shots” mark

When someone refuses to change their ways and continues displaying aggressive behaviour, they often face fitting consequences. Sam Konstas experienced something similar on the second day of the final Test at Sydney, as Yashasvi Jaiswal taunted him in response to his conduct the previous day.

‌Australia took control on the first day of the Test match, thanks to brilliant bowling by Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc. The Indian team was bowled out for a modest 185 runs, with Rishabh Pant standing tall as the top scorer with 40 runs. However, the on-field action was overshadowed by a heated moment between Jasprit Bumrah and young Australian batter Sam Konstas towards the day’s end, setting up a tense atmosphere for day two.

On the second day, tensions continued to brew as Konstas struggled to score runs against India’s disciplined bowling attack. Fielding at gully, Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal seized the moment to add fuel to the fire. He taunted Konstas, sarcastically asking, “Kya hua? Shot nahi lag raha hai kya?” (What happened? Can’t hit good shots anymore?). The comment visibly irked the New South Wales batter who had already been under pressure after his verbal spat with Bumrah the previous day.

Pure Cinema!
