BHUBANESWAR : Taking catastrophe administration training forward, Utkal College has come out with illustrative booklets for rural college college students at elementary stage to make them perceive pure calamities in a simplified method. The booklets have been launched on Sunday on the event of World Drowning Prevention Day.
Among the many eight State-specific pure disasters – lightning, whirlwind, twister, heavy rain, sunstroke, boat accident, drowning, and snakebite – the booklets have been ready on drowning. The college has collaborated with Odisha State Catastrophe Administration Authority and Odisha Catastrophe Fast Motion Pressure for the booklets which have been developed with funds underneath part 2 of Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) mission.
“As part of Utkal’s group linkage and rural outreach programme, the college plans to impart water security and protected rescue expertise to the scholars of the elementary stage with the assistance of OSDMA and ODRAF,” stated Prof Sabita Acharya, Vice- Chancellor, Utkal College.
The booklets shall be distributed freed from price amongst college students of rural areas of the State. She stated with drowning being one of many main calamities that folks of all age teams particularly youngsters face in day-to-day life as a consequence of lack of information and negligence, these booklets have been designed to make it attention-grabbing for college students to learn them. Subsequently, booklets in different disasters shall be ready for the scholars.
