The evolving white ball cricket often favours the batters to a greater extend than the bowlers. Moreover, small venues such as the Chinnaswamy Stadium of Bengaluru have very less to off the bowlers with their IPL home team RCB’s latest recruit Suyash Sharma facing the heat from a retained RCBian.
The decision to field first worked well for Madhya Pradesh who managed to curb Delhi to a below-par 146 runs total in the first innings. In the next ball, the right-hander rocked back to pull a shortish delivery at the same area to notch up his half-century. Seeing a regular RCB mate expose Chimmaswamy Stadium’s harsh reality for the bowlers to a new RCB recruit, the Twitterverse exploded.
