Discussions and debates for taking a DRS have become a common practice these days with bowlers trying to convince their captains in the hopes of picking up an extra wicket. In the DC-RCB game though, it was the umpire who walked upto the Delhi team to question what they were reviewing.
Delhi might have won the toss and opted to bat first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium but it was Phil Salt who stole the early limelight with a sublime 17-ball 37. However, post his dismissal, RCB seemed to have gone back to the olden days with wickets falling at regular intervals and boundaries becoming rare commodities. It wasn’t until the 19th over that RCB finally decided that they were going to go for it with Tim David smashing Axar Patel for 17 runs.
However, it seemed that the tables had turned on the first ball of the last over as Tim David appeared to have nicked one to KL Rahul behind the stumps. The umpire, though, ruled against the visitors calling the delivery a wide. As Rahul and Mukesh agreed to go upstairs, Axar asked the official to send the decision to the TV umpire. But in a surprising turn of events, umpire, KN Ananthapadmanabhan, walked upto the DC side and questioned what they were reviewing.
DC appeared to have asked for a wicket and Axar and Rahul walked upto Ananthapadmanabhan and looked for clarification as to whether both things could be reviewed. As it turned out, the official from Thiruvananthapuram had gotten it right in the first attempt and RCB Twitter were pleased to see nothing on Ultra Edge.

So wrong
What did axar do so wrong to get spanked for 10rpo + in a match where other spinners have hardly been hit? Brainless bowling. Definitely not him.

Mismanaged
As captain, Axar mismanaged his own bowling. He bowled all four of his overs at inappropriate moments. https://t.co/9tNit0j6JX
