Thousands of frontline workers get the COVID-19 jab in second phase- The New Indian Express

Hundreds of frontline employees throughout the State acquired the Covid-19 jab on Saturday as Odisha continued to indicate the way in which within the vaccination drive to interrupt the chain. In Sambalpur, the drive was carried out in 4 centres. Of the two,722 beneficiaries, 800 had been vaccinated on day of the second section of the drive.

Whereas 105 frontline employees got the jab at Bhima Bhoi Kalyan Mandap within the metropolis, 150 had been vaccinated on the Residence Guard barracks, 182 at DRDA workplace and 200 on the police reserve workplace. 

In Balangir, Collector Chanchal Rana and SP Nitin Kushalkar had been amongst these vaccinated. 

Equally, in Ganjam, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange and SP Brijesh Roy had been vaccinated.

Nonetheless, the turnout on the centres was lesser than anticipated. 

As per data, 3,039 frontline employees and 1,928 well being care professionals have registered for the vaccination drive. Nonetheless, about 2,749 frontline employees and 496 well being care professionals have been vaccinated until date. 

In Dhenkanal, 405 of the 428 frontline employees registered for second section had been vaccinated at 4 centres within the city on the day.

Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera was the primary to be administered the jab on the Municipality Kalyan Mandap. CDMO Dr Sujatarani Mishra mentioned no uncomfortable side effects of the vaccine have been reported from the district until date.
