Caden Kelly, one of the best starlets for the Sunderland team got his loan deal with Darlington extended till January 2025. He has already been a part of the seven games in the National League and will be looking forward to playing more.
Caden Kelly, the star performer of Sunderland has now extended his loan deal with Darlington, as it was recently confirmed by the team. He joined the team for just a month on a loan deal in October. Although the deal was about to come to an end in November, the team has extended it till January.
He has already been a part of the team in seven games and now will be playing more in the National League till January. Most of his youth career was spent in Manchester City in the Premier League, while he was able to make his debut for the first time for Sunderland in the 2022-23 season.
The Carabao Cup was the competition where he made his debut for the team under the guidance of Alex Neil. He was also able to perform well in the Under 21 tournaments for the club but was benched multiple times in the main team.
Although he was called up to the game he failed to utilise the opportunities in most of the cases. Even in the match against Middlesbrough, he was benched by the team.
The Academy Manager of Sunderland informed about Caden Kelly’s extension of loan, saying,“Darlington, ourselves, and Caden agreed that it has been a positive experience that should continue. Senior minutes are important at this stage of his pathway. Moving into a new environment is always difficult for young players and we feel Caden has begun to adapt to what is required of him at Darlington. I am sure he will continue to add value to their season.”
