Coimbatore: A 19-year-old graduate scholar of a personal faculty dedicated suicide by hanging in his home at Kanuvai on the outskirts of town on Friday after his father refused to supply him Rs 2 lakh for getting a sports activities bike.
The Vadavalli police recognized the deceased as Okay Mukileswaran, of Ajantha Nagar at Kanuvai close to Somaiyampalayam. He was a first-year graduate scholar.
An investigation officer mentioned Mukileswaran had been pestering his father G Krishnamoorthy, 45, a carpenter, and elder sister, who works with a personal firm, demanding Rs 2 lakh to purchase the bike for the previous two months. “They defined to him in regards to the household scenario and requested him to surrender his plans for the bike for now. However Mukileswaran was not prepared to surrender his dream.”
When the youth’s father and sister returned from work on Friday, the officer mentioned, the home was discovered locked and there wasn’t any response from inside to their repeated knock on the primary door. “With the assistance of neighbours, they broke open the door and located him hanging from a ceiling.”
The relations alerted the Vadavalli police, who retrieved the physique and despatched that to the Coimbatore Medical School and Hospital for postmortem. The physique was handed over to the relations after the post-mortem on Saturday afternoon.
