Shakib Al Hasan Bangladesh

‌Despite announcing his intention to retire from Tests after a farewell match at home, Shakib Al Hasan has chosen to postpone his ODI retirement until the Champions Trophy in 2025. However, there was uncertainty about his participation in the Afghanistan series. Now, the BCB president has clarified Shakib’s involvement in the upcoming ODIs between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, set to take place in Sharjah.

According to Cricbuzz, Shakib will be available to participate in the ODI series against Afghanistan, which begins on November 6. The report cited comments from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief Faruque Ahmed, who stated, “Regarding Shakib Al Hasan, since the team (for the three ODIs against South Africa) has not been given yet, it means he is available.: He further added, “ The first thing is that you said that he couldn’t play his last Test here but we are completely uninvolved with that situation. The law enforcement forces, the government and Shakib were . We are totally an auxiliary part in this. Personally, I tried my level best so that Shakib can get his retirement at home.”

Previously, when asked about his participation in the series against Afghanistan, Shakib redirected the question to the BCB. The star all-rounder has not returned to Bangladesh since the political turmoil and violence that occurred in the country.
