WILLIAMSBURG — Robert Wayne “Bobby” Hodge, 56, handed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 3, 2021.
Robert was an honors graduate of Bruton Excessive College, attended lnterlochen in Michigan, studied music on the California Institute of the Arts, and attended and graduated from Julliard.
A really proficient actor, musician, and singer, Robert was president of RH Leisure Worldwide. His performances delighted audiences everywhere in the United States, from New York to California, in addition to on cruise ships and in unique trip locations. He held particular Christmas reveals in Williamsburg every year, and his CDs offered out quickly. Wherever he went, Robert made buddies, lots of them well-known actors and musicians, and he had a powerful assortment of autographed images from every of them. Two very particular buddies had been Dolly Parton and Cher.
Robert was the music therapist and choir director at Jap State Hospital till 1983; an occasion producer for Max Photos Inc. in New York Metropolis till 2000; wrote for OnStage Journal, New York Metropolis, till 2005; and had a program entitled “Your Present” for radio station WMBG in Williamsburg till 2019. He was presently the organist and choir director for Unity Fellowship Church.

He’s survived by his mother and father, Gregory “Teenie” and Ruth Hodge; sister, Pamela, and her husband, Gary Hedgepeth; nieces, Mary Katherine Aadahl (Christopher) and Courtney Gail Thomas (Erin); adored canine companion, “Girlie”; and a big prolonged household of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The household will obtained visitors from 6 to eight p.m., Thursday, June 10, at Nelsen Funeral House, 3785 Strawberry Plains Street, Williamsburg. Providers shall be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 11, at Unity Fellowship Church, 624 Queens Creek Street, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Robert’s honor to the American Heart Association, the Lions of Virginia Bland Music Scholarship Foundation, or Virginia Musical Museum and Music Hall of Fame.
