Initially handed a four-year ban, Pogba’s suspension was reduced, allowing him a potential return to top-flight football.
Although some former players, including Rio Ferdinand, have suggested Manchester United should offer Pogba a chance to train with the squad, the club has not pursued a deal. Pogba, now 32, has played only 12 matches in the past two and a half years due to injuries and his suspension. His contract with Juventus was terminated in November, leaving him without a club.
Marseille’s sporting director, Medhi Benatia, confirmed the club’s interest but questioned the timing, as Pogba wouldn’t contribute this season.
