‌PAK vs WI | Twitter in splits as puckish Babar unleashes mischievous shenanigans on Sajid and Rizwan

Amidst the hustle and bustle of a cricket match, certain characters often uplift a team’s morale. While Babar Azam is not known for his on-field shenanigans, he pulled off a baggage of tricks with Mohammad Rizwan and Sajid Khan on the third day of the first Test against West Indies.

Attempting to increase their lead on the morning session of the third day, Pakistan’s middle and lower order fell prey to Jomel Warrican’s neat bowling, ending the innings with 157 runs. Aiming a target of 261 runs on a rank-turner of Multan, the West Indies batters found it tough against the spin of Abrar Ahmed and Sajid Khan. The latter drew the first blood as Kraigg Brathwaite’s attacking approach drew curtains on his knock, followed by Keacy Carty departing in the seventh over, making way for Babar’s shenanigans.

On the second ball of the seventh over, Sajid came over the wicket and sprayed a offie on the off-stump line. Carty tried to sit there and sweep hard but ended up with a top-edge due to the revs in the air. The ball lobed up in the air with Babar at leg slip and Rizwan behind the stumps converging to enforce a dismissal. Eventually, the keeper called for the catch and rewarded Sajid with his second scalp. As the team celebrated, Babar was seen tapping on Sajid’s bald head with his fingers before hilariously mimicking Rizwan’s catch, leaving the Twitterverse in splits.

Babar the prankster!
