Pakistan enjoyed a strong batting performance, thanks to Kamran Ghulam’s century and Saim Ayub’s 77 runs. However, their middle order struggled, with Mohammad Rizwan’s 41 being the only significant contribution. Aamer Jamal’s 37 and Salman Agha’s 31 helped them reach 366 runs before Jack Leach’s four wickets bundled them out. In response, England’s openers, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, got off to a solid start, reaching 48/0 in just seven overs. However, a pivotal moment occurred when Sajid Khan missed an easy opportunity due to his error.
On the fourth ball of the eighth over, Sajid bowled a full-length delivery on leg stump to Duckett, who flicked it toward short square leg. Crawley, at the non-striker’s end, called for a quick single, but Duckett, caught up in the action was unaware of Crawley’s sprint. When he finally realized, he asked Crawley to return, which he did swiftly. Amidst this, Salman Agha threw the ball at the bowler’s end as Crawley made a full-length dive to make his ground. In the midst of this, Sajid appeared to have collected the ball and broken the stumps, but Crawley was just a few centimetres away from safety. The run-out decision was sent upstairs, revealing a surprising twist. The big screen showed that Sajid had disturbed the stumps with his hands before gathering the ball. Both bails lit up before the ball was secured. Although Crawley was well short of his crease, he survived because Sajid broke the stumps before collecting the ball. The England openers breathed a sigh of relief as the big screen displayed “Not Out,” while Sajid looked dejected. The incident sparked a flurry of reactions on Twitter, with fans eager to discuss the moment.

ROLF!
Im convinced, Sajid Khan wouldn’t have even known dislodging the wickets before hitting the ball doesn’t count an out. #PAKvENG #PAKvsENG

He was so bad at it!
Sajid Khan thinks he has got Crawley. The left bicep of Sajid Khan has disturbed the stumps before the ball has come. Crawley might get away with this. Not out. pic.twitter.com/aMwGe2m1Ez
