BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha authorities on Thursday introduced that it will roll out the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) below the common immunisation programme within the state on June 30.
As determined, six-week-old youngsters shall be administered the primary dose throughout the state on the launch date. The Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and CDMOs have been directed to make preparations for the sleek conduct of the vaccination drive.
Director of Household Welfare Dr Bijay Panigrahi mentioned three doses of vaccine shall be administered to the kids. As per the vaccine protocol, the primary dose shall be administered to youngsters aged six weeks, second dose on the age of 14 weeks and third dose after 9 months, he mentioned.
