The transfer goals at enhancing data and imparting talent to the SHGs by making a pool of trainers and strengthening the capacities of the functionaries concerned in sanitation-related work in cities and cities, based on an official launch.
Housing and City Growth Division Principal Secretary G Mathivathanan signed the MoU with the City Administration Centre (UMC), a not-for-profit organisation, it mentioned.
The step will assist construct capacities of round 2,000 functionaries, 250 mentors and 500 grasp trainers, who will subsequently practice 5,000 SHG members and nurture 2,000 extra for future necessities, the discharge mentioned.
“Over the previous 20 years, practically 6 lakh ”Mission Shakti” SHGs have been shaped in Odisha with the participation of practically 70 lakh girls,” City Growth Minister Pratap Jena mentioned.
”Mission Shakti” is the self-help mission for empowering girls by promotion of SHGs to take up varied socio-economic actions.
The state has been prioritising systematic investments for improvement of the SHGs to alleviate poverty, he mentioned.
