The Odisha authorities on Friday introduced the cancellation of the category 12 board examinations performed by the Council of Greater Secondary Schooling (CHSE).
Making the announcement, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik mentioned that the protection of scholars is extra essential than the examinations.
The state authorities has already cancelled the category 10 board examination, performed by the Board of Secondary Schooling.
Earlier this week, CBSE and CISCE had cancelled the category 12 board examinations.
Noting that the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented scenario throughout the nation, Patnaik mentioned the prevailing situation has severely affected research of youngsters.
“Nonetheless, safety of scholars’ lives is above all of the examinations,” he mentioned. “If there’s life, then there’s the potential for society and civilisation to maneuver ahead. If there is no such thing as a life, nothing could be achieved,” Patnaik mentioned.
If the examinations have been held, it might have risked the lives of scholars, lecturers, guardians and others related to the method, he added.
