Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], March 24 (ANI): The Odisha Cabinet on Tuesday authorized the “State Stage Sports activities Infrastructure Improvement Venture” for the event of sports activities infrastructure at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, and International Hockey Stadium, Rourkela.
The undertaking with an estimated outlay of Rs 356.38 crores is supposed for the event of infrastructure at Kalinga Stadium and the development of a brand new hockey stadium at Rourkela to conduct FIH Males’s World Cup Hockey 2023.
Odisha is the host for the FIH Males’s Hockey World Cup-2023 with venues at Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. Out of the entire estimated value Rs 356.38 crores, Rs 90 crores will likely be allotted via the budgetary allocation of State authorities spreading throughout three monetary years ranging from 2020-21. The remaining quantity is to be funded via Company Social Accountability (CSR), District Mineral Basis, Sundargarh and Odisha Sports activities Improvement Fund (OSDF).
