Manchester United are prepared to bid £25 million for 17-year-old Sporting CP talent Geovany Quenda, aiming to reunite him with manager Ruben Amorim. Quenda, who has nine goal involvements this season, has excelled at right wing-back and left winger. However, Sporting may demand £40 million or more, hoping for a bidding war.
For the upcoming transfer window, Manchester United are reportedly preparing a £25 million bid to sign Sporting CP’s 17-year-old wonderkid, Geovany Quenda. According to
Sky Sport CH, the club has already contacted Quenda’s entourage and is optimistic about convincing Sporting with their offer. However, Sporting may demand £40 million or more, hoping for a bidding war for their rising star.
Quenda, who made his debut under Ruben Amorim at Sporting, has been a standout performer. Initially playing as a right wing-back, he has recently shifted to a left-wing role under new manager Rui Borges. Despite the transition, he has contributed nine goal involvements this season and has impressed with his work rate, duel-winning ability, and distribution.
United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to reunite with Quenda, having coached him earlier in the season. The club, which had a quiet winter transfer window with only one major signing—Patrick Dorgu from Lecce—sees Quenda as a key addition, particularly for the right wing-back position.
With Sporting likely to push for a higher fee, United may need to include performance-based add-ons to secure the deal. As the summer window approaches, negotiations will determine whether Quenda joins the Red Devils.
