Javed Akthar (28), resident of Khagra in Devghar
district in Jharkhand, was arrested from Sambalpur in Odisha
by a crew of Crime Department and Cyber Cell of the MP police.
“He had threatened on Fb to kill the speaker. He
works at a metal manufacturing facility in Sambalpur,” stated Extra
Director Common of Police, Bhopal, Upendra Jain.
The Meeting secretariat had sought safety for the
pro-tem speaker after he obtained threats on social media for
opposing a latest protest in opposition to France, an official stated.
On Thursday, members of the Muslim group protested
on the Iqbal Maidan right here in opposition to French President Emmanuel
Macron over the controversy about depiction of Prophet
Muhammad in cartoons.
The protest had been led by Congress MLA Arif Masood.
Rameshwar Sharma had stated in an announcement afterwards
that protesters created an environment of worry by backing
fundamentalism and they need to have held the protest in France
