SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Longtime Highland Excessive College basketball and tennis coach Larry Maxwell has handed away this weekend.
The son-in-law of Larry Maxwell confirmed to KSL Sports activities of the passing of Larry Maxwell on Sunday afternoon.
Maxwell was the top basketball coach at Highland Excessive College for 34 years whereas successful 5 state titles. He was additionally the tennis coach and led the Rams to 10 state championships.
Maxwell’s son is the top basketball coach at Bountiful Excessive College.
Whereas at Highland, he coached former Utah star and present BYU ladies’s basketball head coach Jeff Judkins performed for Maxwell. Judkins has his jersey retired within the rafters.
Again in 2019, Highland devoted their fitness center and renamed it the “Larry Maxwell Gymnasium.” Throughout his time as head basketball coach, Maxwell compiled 503 wins.
