The 2024 Little League World Series wraps up on Sunday, with the championship and third-place game concluding the world’s top youth baseball competition.
Chinese Taipei and Florida will battle for the title at Lamade Stadium after two very different wins on Saturday. Chinese Taipei rode good pitching and sound defense to a 4-1 win over Venezuela, putting the Asia-Pacific representatives in position to win an 18th LLWS title.
Florida, meanwhile, trailed 4-0 and 7-5 only to defeat Texas 10-7 thanks to a wild four-run sixth inning. An emotional, dramatic game may end up fueling Florida to finally break through. This will be the ninth time a Floridian team has made the LLWS Championship Game, but the previous eight have all ended up taking second place in the end.
Venezuela and Texas aren’t done yet, with the third-place game opening the doubleheader Sunday morning.
