Real Madrid showcased an impressive performance in their previous match against Sevilla, where the team won by 4-2. Kylian Mbappé also regained his momentum by scoring a goal in the 10th minute of the game.
This was also Mbappé’s sixth goal for Real Madrid in the last eight games. The team now stands at the 2nd spot in the standings with just one point behind Atletico Madrid. Mbappé had a low point in his career while he played for Real Madrid when he missed the penalty kick in the game against Atletico.
Following the match, Mbappé said,“I know I have a lot more to give. The last few games I’ve played better, I took a lot of positives from the Bilbao game, when I hit rock bottom. I have to give my all for this jersey and play with personality.”
He further continued,“I think we now know each other better. I’ve joined the team and that changed a lot of things. The settling-in period is over, as the coach says. I feel very comfortable in the team and I play better with the others on the field. The team is playing much better.”
