Just three minutes later, Rolando Mandragora doubled the lead after a brilliant assist from Juventus loanee Nicolo Fagioli. Fiorentina sealed the win early in the second half, with Albert Gudmundsson finishing a swift counterattack led by Fagioli.
This defeat made history, as Juventus lost back-to-back Serie A games by three or more goals for only the third time, previously occurring in 2011 and 1957. Fiorentina also set a record by scoring at least three goals against both Juventus and Inter Milan in the same Serie A season for the first time. Additionally, La Viola now leads Serie A in goals scored within the first 15 minutes, tallying eight this season.
