However, his attempt to finish in style ended in disappointment as he mistimed a cross-batted slog trying to hit the winning boundary. Eventually, the final moment came when Rishabh Pant struck the winning runs, sealing a seven-wicket victory for India, who remain at the top of the World Test Championship table.
