Bhubaneswar: Separate groups of officers from the Industrial Tax and GST Commissionerate Monday carried out simultaneous raids at a number of well-known jewelry shops in cities round Odisha, an official mentioned.
Based on a senior official, raids are presently being carried out in 12 cities throughout the state together with twin cities Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The groups will scrutinise tax ledgers, inventory and buy data to determine evasion of GST by the jewelers.
