CSK required 67 runs off the last over when they decided to take the second new ball to minimise the dew factor. Practically, the game was done and dusted, but Krunal Pandya’s quick bouncer to Dhoni on the second ball of the over sparked some fierce reactions from the batter. The next ball, bowled in the slot, was dispatched over deep mid-wicket by Dhoni, resulting in his first maximum of the season. Not learning from his error, Krunal pitched another fuller one to the former CSK captain, who smacked a gigantic six over deep mid-wicket again.
