If granted, Inter Kashi would leapfrog Churchill with 42 points. Frustrated by the delay, Churchill Brothers’ CEO, Churchill Alemao, has threatened to withdraw from the upcoming Super Cup, scheduled to start on April 20, where they are slated to face ISL champions Mohun Bagan. Alemao insists the team will not participate in any tournament unless they receive the I-League trophy, accusing the system of corruption and injustice.
He expressed dismay over the lack of clarity and called on AIFF to deliver a fair verdict. As it stands, Churchill remains at the top, with Inter Kashi on 39 points. The AIFF Appeals Committee has now moved up its decision meeting to April 21.
