Chelsea are preparing to spend over €300 million to acquire five players from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. Key targets include Kaoru Mitoma, for €90 million, Carlos Baleba (€120 million), Georginio Rutter (€50 million), Facundo Buonanotte (€45 million), and Valentin Barco (€10 million). Chelsea is determined to strengthen their squad after a poor season.
For the upcoming summer transfer window, Chelsea is poised to spend over €300 million on five Brighton & Hove Albion players. Under the management of Enzo Maresca, Chelsea has frequently targeted Brighton’s talents, a strategy that has led to several high-profile moves in recent years, including Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella. Chelsea’s determination to strengthen their squad comes after a disappointing run of form and back-to-back defeats against Brighton.
One of their primary targets is Kaoru Mitoma, with reports indicating that Chelsea is willing to pay €90 million for the Japan international after his impressive performances, including scoring in both victories over Chelsea. In addition to Mitoma, Chelsea has shown interest in other Brighton players, such as Carlos Baleba, valued at €120 million, and Georginio Rutter, expected to cost at least €50 million.
They are also monitoring Facundo Buonanotte, who could secure a €45 million transfer, and Valentin Barco, who may move from Strasbourg for €10 million, depending on his performance in Ligue 1. With these potential signings, Chelsea is committed to significantly enhancing their squad, signalling a major investment in Brighton’s star players for the upcoming season.
