BHUBANESWAR: The Ministry of Street Transport and Highways has accorded approval to upgradation, rehabilitation and reconstruction of plenty of tasks in seven states together with Odisha. Three tasks value Rs 488 crore have been authorized within the State. The authorized tasks included a bypass on NH-59 for Berhampur metropolis, railway over bridge (RoB) on Puri-Konark highway and 5 submersible bridges on Malkangiri-Motu NH-326.
Whereas the NH-59 bypass, together with four-lane RoBs on Engineering, Procurement, and Building (EPC) mode, has been authorized with a price range Rs 196.94 crore, the RoB at Matiapada on Puri-Konark Street to be constructed on EPC mode has been authorized at a value of Rs 137.61 crore. Equally, 5 submersible bridges can be reconstructed on the Malkangiri-Motu NH-326 at an estimated price of Rs 154.05 crore.
The submersible bridges will exchange the excessive degree bridges on the nationwide freeway.Union PNG and Metal Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister for Street Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for extending ‘Pragati Ka Freeway’ to Odisha.Responding to a tweet by Gadkari on the authorized tasks, Pradhan mentioned the road-infra upgrades will assist scale back site visitors congestion, improve transport and herald new alternatives of progress and growth.
