Indian pace bowling spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah retained the top spot in the latest ICC Men’s bowling rankings released on Wednesday. Also, the Pakistan spin duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan gained considerable ratings after Pakistan’s monumental win against West Indies in the first Test in Multan.

Bumrah attained 908 points, the best ever by an Indian pacer after his meticulous performance with the ball down under. Pat Cummins (841) and Kagiso Rabada (837) cement the second and third spot in the Test rankings.

India’s domination is not just limited to the bowling rankings but also to the all-rounder’s charts. Ravindra Jadeja retained the top spot in the Test all-rounder’s rankings with 400 ratings. The next best, Marco Jansen, has a deficit of 106 points from the Saurashtra all-rounder.

Turning the attention to Pakistan cricket, the spin pair of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan have done considerably well in the rankings. The former gained a couple of points to enter the top ten list, at the ninth while the latter gained 18 points to sit at the 23rd position. After a nine-wicket haul across innings in the first Test against West Indies, Sajid’s bowling average reflects 18.42 in the 2024/25 season.

If focused on the Indian mainstays, Rohit Sharma has dropped to the 43rd position while Virat Kohli gained one rank to cement the 26th position. The batting ranking is dominated by Joe Root (895) and Harry Brook (876), followed by New Zealand stalwart Kane Williamson (867).
