Arsenal Crush Man City 5-1 to Keep Premier League Title Hopes Alive

Arsenal dominated Manchester City with a 5-1 victory at the Emirates, reducing Liverpool lead to six points. Odegaard opened the scoring early, but Haaland equalizer was short-lived as Partey, Lewis-Skelly, Havertz, and Nwaneri sealed the win. Arsenal remains unbeaten in 14 league games, reaching 50 points, while City lags in fourth with 41 points.

In the English Premier League, Arsenal demolished Manchester City 5-1 at Emirates Stadium, reducing the gap to league leaders Liverpool to six points. Martin Odegaard struck in the second minute, but Erling Haaland equalized in the 55th. Arsenal responded immediately as Thomas Partey’s deflected shot restored their lead.

Teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly then netted his first senior goal before Kai Havertz finished a counterattack to make it 4-1. Substitute Ethan Nwaneri sealed the win with a stunning last-minute curler. Arsenal now have 50 points from 24 games, while Liverpool leads with 56 points and a game in hand. City remain fourth with 41 points from 24 matches, trailing Liverpool by 15 points.

Arsenal’s unbeaten league run extended to 14 games, reaffirming their title ambitions. City, however, suffered their first defeat in seven matches. Post-match, John Stones acknowledged City’s struggles, while Arsenal’s Havertz and Odegaard praised their team’s pressing and chemistry. This dominant victory strengthens Arsenal’s position as a serious title contender.
