Kolkata’s chase of Punjab’s modest 111 got off to a shaky start, with their batting faltering early. Openers Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock were both dismissed within the powerplay, leaving KKR reeling at 12/2 after just two overs. While Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi briefly steadied the ship with a 55-run partnership, it was Yuzvendra Chahal’s four-fer that truly swung the momentum in Punjab’s favour, putting KKR on the backfoot once again.
After claiming the wickets of Rahane and Raghuvanshi, Yuzvendra Chahal was given the ball for the 12th over. On the third ball, he bowled a flighted delivery, full around the fourth stump, slower through the air. The ball pitched and turned back in, drawing Rinku Singh forward as he attempted to push it on the off side. But Rinku, misjudging the length, was beaten on the inside edge and stepped out of his crease. On the very next delivery, Chahal fired in a fuller ball around middle and leg. Ramandeep Singh, attempting to lap it to the fine leg boundary, got a top edge that sailed over the keeper’s left shoulder. Shreyas Iyer at first slip moved swiftly to his left, taking a simple catch. Chahal’s four-wicket haul had not only changed the course of the game but sent Twitter into a frenzy.

CHAHAL IS ON FIRE!! 🔥
🥇4/12 in just 3 overs – Chahal spins a web around KKR!
🔸Earlier removes set batters Raghuvanshi & Rahane!
🔸Double strike in his 3rd over: Rinku & Ramandeep!
🔸Misses hat-trick by inches!
What a turnaround in Mohali!#PBKSvKKR #TATAIPL #KKRvPBKS pic.twitter.com/XIcSQw7CY2— Yogesh Goswami (@yogeshgoswami_) April 15, 2025
Just better
Is Ramandeep better than Tewatia?..I don’t think so..Tewatia’s bowling has been largely undervalued..surely deserved a chance before Ramandeep for Ind IMO..I love Ramandeep’s fielding but it needed to be said..

Harshit Rana never uses his brain in such situations, he always goes for glory shots. He did the same against Mumbai Indians & got out when Ramandeep Singh was helplessly standing on the other end.
