Paul Pogba Career in Danger as No Club Wants Him After 18-Month Ban!

Paul Pogba 18-month suspension for a failed drug test ends on March 11, 2025, but the 32-year-old midfielder remains without a club. Juventus terminated his contract, and potential returns to Manchester United or Marseille have fallen through. With European clubs unwilling to meet his €10 million salary, a move to MLS or Saudi Arabia seems his best option.

In the aftermath of his 18-month suspension, Paul Pogba is set to return to professional football on March 11, 2025, but securing a new club remains a challenge. The 2018 World Cup winner was initially handed a four-year ban for testing positive for testosterone in August 2023, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced his suspension. However, Juventus terminated his contract in late 2024, leaving him a free agent.

Despite speculation linking him to Manchester United, Marseille, and leagues outside Europe, no concrete offers have materialized. His €10 million annual salary, age (turning 32 this month), and lack of recent match experience (his last official game was in September 2023) have made European clubs hesitant. Ligue 1 regulations also prevent Marseille from signing free agents mid-season.

A move to MLS or Saudi Arabia appears the most viable, as football stars like Messi, Ronaldo, and Benzema have taken lucrative offers outside Europe. Pogba has been seen in Miami, training with Messi’s personal coach and attending Inter Miami’s matches, making an MLS switch a likely next step.
