Gokulam struck first in the 9th minute, with Thabiso Brown lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper. However, Phrangki Buam equalized for Shillong within five minutes, volleying in Treimiki Lamurong’s cross. Early in the second half, Buam scored again, but Gokulam responded with Brown’s second goal, leveling at 2-2.
In the 85th minute, Marcos Rudwere restored Shillong’s lead, only for Mashoor Shereef to equalize in the 88th minute. Just when a draw seemed inevitable, Paulino’s stunning free-kick in stoppage time secured the win for Shillong.
