Arsenal Oleksandr Zinchenko will remain at the club despite speculation about a move to Turkey, as Fenerbahce and Galatasaray opted for other signings before their transfer window closed on February 11. Zinchenko has made just 15 appearances this season, falling behind 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori. Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admitted disappointment in not strengthening the squad in January but emphasized discipline in transfer decisions.

The transfer window has closed, shifting Arsenal’s focus back to football. However, Mikel Arteta is already dealing with the impact of squad decisions. Injuries to Gabriel Martinelli and potential concerns over Kai Havertz during Arsenal’s training camp in Dubai have added to the club’s challenges.

Arsenal had clear intentions in the January window but failed to secure reinforcements. Arteta admitted disappointment, emphasizing the club’s disciplined approach to only signing players who can make a real impact. This strategy also applies to outgoings, as Arsenal must manage players seeking more game time.

One such player is Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has made just 15 appearances this season and fallen behind 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori in the squad hierarchy. Speculation arose about a potential move to Turkey, where the transfer window remained open until February 11. Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray were linked with the Ukrainian international, but neither club made an official approach. Instead, Galatasaray opted to sign Przemyslaw Frankowski from RC Lens on loan.

With no move materializing, Zinchenko remains at Arsenal, potentially facing limited game time for the rest of the season as Arteta continues to refine his squad.
