For the 32-year-old Casemiro, a return to Brazil could be on the horizon, as Manchester United has reportedly agreed to loan him to Flamengo. According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, Flamengo inquired about Casemiro’s situation in recent days, and United is willing to cover a significant portion of his wages to facilitate the move. However, the Brazilian club has not yet finalized its decision, citing financial risks despite United’s assistance.
Casemiro, who joined Manchester United from Real Madrid for £60 million in 2022, has struggled to maintain his influence, particularly under new manager Ruben Amorim. Since Amorim’s appointment in November, Casemiro has fallen out of favor, as the Portuguese coach prefers a younger and more dynamic midfield.
