Churchill Brothers Triumph 3-1 Over Real Kashmir in I-League Clash

Real Kashmir FC lost 3-1 to Churchill Brothers in an I-League match on January 30, 2025, at Raia Panchayat Ground in Goa. Churchill Brothers took a 2-1 lead into halftime, with Real Kashmir goal coming from a Paulo Cezar penalty. A third goal from Churchill in the 79th minute sealed the win, propelling them to the top of the I-League table with 22 points.

In the I-League 2024-25, Real Kashmir FC suffered a 3-1 defeat to Churchill Brothers FC at Raia Panchayat Ground in Goa. The match saw an early advantage for Churchill Brothers, who scored twice in the 7th and 21st minutes. Despite being on the back foot, Real Kashmir managed to pull one back in the 27th minute through a penalty taken by Paulo Cezar, reducing the deficit to 2-1 at halftime. However, Churchill Brothers added a third goal in the 79th minute to secure a dominant 3-1 win, lifting them to the top of the I-League standings with 22 points from 11 games.

Real Kashmir remained in fifth place with 16 points from the same number of matches. The Snow Leopards will now return home to face Shillong Lajong FC on Sunday, February 2.

In a positive turn, Real Kashmir’s U-17 team bounced back from a heavy loss to win 3-0 against MUM – Dsouza Football Academy in the AIFF U-17 Elite Youth League. Zahid Gulzar scored a brace, with Muntazar Shafi also finding the net. The team will next play Corbett FC on February 1.
