LOS ANGELES — Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Joni Mitchell are among a star-studded set of musicians performing at a benefit concert later this month for wildfire recovery and relief, organizers announced Thursday.

“FireAid” will be held Jan. 30 at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Inglewood in the Los Angeles area, and features a number of artists with California ties.

Tickets will go on sale Wednesday at noon through Ticketmaster, AEG announced. The money will go to both short-term and long-term relief, it said.

The Palisades and Eaton fires have killed at least 27 people and left tens of thousands displaced. Los Angeles’ fire chief has said that it will be one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the city.

Millions in donations have been made following the devastating fires, which destroyed an estimated thousands of homes in the Pacific Palisades and in the Altadena and Pasadena area.

Steve Ballmer, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, which play at the Intuit Dome, pledged $15 million. Other Hollywood and sports organizations and celebrities have also donated, including the Walt Disney Corporation which committed $15 million.

The lineup

  • Billie Eilish and Finneas
  • Dave Matthews and John Mayer
  • Earth Wind & Fire
  • Gracie Abrams
  • Green Day
  • Gwen Stefani
  • Jelly Roll
  • Joni Mitchell
  • Katy Perry
  • Lady Gaga
  • Lil Baby
  • P!nk
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Rod Stewart
  • Sting
  • Stephen Stills
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Tate McRae

Ticket sales and how to watch

Ticket sales are set to begin through Ticketmaster on Wednesday at noon local time (3 p.m ET).

The concerts will start on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. local time (9 p.m. ET).

The concerts at both venues will run at the same time, and a ticket to one does not allow a person to go to both.

The event will also be widely broadcast, organizers say, and it will be shown in some AMC theaters.

It will also be shown online or broadcast on Apple Music and the Apple TV App; Max; iHeartRadio; KTLA+; Netflix/Tudom; Paramount+; Prime Video and the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch; SiriusXM; Spotify; SoundCloud; Veeps; and YouTube.

The donations

The contributions and donations to FireAid will go into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation, which is a philanthropic foundation, organizers say.

The money will go to “short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters,” its website says.

In addition to ticket sales, donations can also be made on FireAid’s website.
