Amid the ongoing transfer window, Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli shared optimism regarding potential deals for Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo and PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani. He hinted at “positive news” within the next week, as Juventus seek to strengthen its squad. Giuntoli emphasized the need for patience, explaining that January transfers are challenging due to economic and technical constraints. The club aims to reinforce their defence, though they are also open to opportunities in other areas.
While discussing their approach, Giuntoli acknowledged that bringing in players familiar with Serie A could be beneficial, but stated there are limited options available domestically. The club is also grappling with internal changes, including Danilo’s contract termination negotiations. He said:
“The strategy is to reinforce the squad in defence and look around if there are any opportunities in other areas of the team. We must respect many different parameters, both economic and technical, and it is difficult to get great players in January, so we need to have patience. In general, it might be better to bring in someone who already knows Serie A, but we also have to look around at what is available and there aren’t many alternatives in Italy.”
Juventus’ recent form, including only one win in the last five Serie A matches, has raised concerns, but Giuntoli remains confident in their long-term strategy with a young squad focused on economic stability and future competitiveness.
