Twitter sounds indifference after Kohli’s regulation wicket in second innings

Great players have to carry the burden of praise and criticism when it comes to social media voices – be it from their fans or critics. After Virat Kohli was dismissed chasing a ball outside off stump yet again, Indian fans were hardly surprised by the former skipper throwing away his wicket.

Great players have to carry the burden of praise and criticism when it comes to social media voices – be it from their fans or critics. After Virat Kohli was dismissed chasing a ball outside off stump yet again, Indian fans were hardly surprised by the former skipper throwing away his wicket.

Chasing a target of 340 on the final day of the fourth Test in Melbourne, India got off to a good start with both Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal seeing off the new ball. That, however, lasted till the 17th over when the Indian skipper was dismissed by Pat Cummins. The incoming KL Rahul did not see out the over either with a five ball duck leaving the score at 25/2.

All eyes were on Virat Kohli as the Indian superstar came out into the middle. After playing out 28 balls for his five runs, Kohli, yet again, slashed at a ball outside off stump to edge one to Usman Khawaja at first slip. This was just the latest dismissal for Kohli where he was dismissed edging the ball behind the wicket.

Twitter voiced its indifference to Kohli being dismissed behind the wicket citing it to be the norm now.

Repeat

All caught

So called king

Sadly

Rites

Dismissed
