Manchester City’s midfield is to strengthen, as Claudio Echeverri is expected to join the team by New Year, bidding farewell to River Plate in his previous game. He joined Manchester City the previous year for a deal worth £12.5 million and was given on a loan to the River Plate for a year.
Manchester City has already made some plans for the January Transfer Window, as the team has started to work on them to get the deals done. One of them is expected to be a new year arrival for the team, which will also help them to boost the options available in its midfield.
They have found a replacement for Rodri, as Claudio Echeverri will now soon be a part of Manchester City, as the team signed him for £12.5 million, approximately 12 months ago. Echeverri was signed by the team the previous year from River Plate and they gave him a year loan to the same team.
Ever since he signed a contract with Manchester City, Echeverri has been able to showcase impressive performances. He has played in 41 games, scoring 4 goals and 6 assists for the team, proving to be a performing midfielder. As he is joining Manchester City soon, he already holds almost 50 senior appearances.
When he played his final game for River Plate, he said in a post-match interview,“I wanted to thank you for the support I have always had since I was a kid, in the club where my videos began to be known, I wanted to thank you for the affection with me and my family, grateful to River, with you, with the club, the people who work at the club.”
