Various Premier League teams such as Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham, showed interest in Igor Jesus as the January Transfer Window approaches. Mello talks about the chances of Igor replacing the Brazilian legendary player, Neymar Jr.

Four Premier League teams, which were Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Newcastle United, and West Ham, have shown commendable interest in a striker, who has been able to generate some fanclub with his performances. There had been some speculation that Igor Jesus might replace Neymar at Botafogo. Responding to this, Mello said,“Neymar is one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen play. But he ruined his career, which culminated in this injury that lasted a little over a year, and now he’s injured again.”It has also been reported that Igor Jesus’s deal could cost approximately £30 million.
