Concentration is an underrated trait in cricket batting, and any particular obstacle may cost one a wicket or a missed opportunity. Ravindra Jadeja happened to lose his focus due to a physical hindrance in front of the sightscreen and Glenn Phillips looked to determine to remove it in the morning.
Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill turned the tide in India’s favor early in the morning by stitching a 96-run fifth-wicket partnership. The former employed an aggressive intent against the Kiwis before an Ish Sodhi peach got the better of him to bring Ravindra Jadeja out in the middle. The southpaw took his time to get settled and used to the spinning conditions of Wankhede until Lunch, albeit his focus was suddenly disrupted by an external factor.
With five minutes to go for Lunch, Phillips continued with the ball from one end against Gill and Jadeja. After a single in the fifth ball of the 43rd over, Jadeja looked to face the last ball before he spotted an obstruction in front of the sightscreen. So, he paused and asked the person to clear the area but the latter didn’t quite the fact and thought he had to ask someone else to move. Seeing this, Phillips tried to help Jadeja as he predominantly gestured with his arms for the person to clear the sight for the batter, leaving the Twitterverse in splits.

Gill is the only player to average more than 50+ in this home season and average 70 in last 11 test innings.Still some people doubt his ability.😭😂😂#ShubmanGill pic.twitter.com/BVhqGb2kTA
