BHUBANESWAR :  Round 1,91,243 frontline staff, who had been concerned in containment measures and regulation and order, have been enrolled up to now for the second section of COVID-19 vaccination within the State.  The listed beneficiaries included 1,56,765 armed forces personnel, police and jail employees, 25,964 municipal staff and eight,514 employees of Income and Catastrophe Administration division. 

The State Authorities had began enumeration of the beneficiaries early this month and it was to be accomplished by January 25. The Centre had requested all States to ship the checklist of frontline staff after the well being staff had been thought of for the primary section. Extra Chief Secretary of Well being division PK Mohapatra stated the timeline for enrollment of frontline staff has been prolonged until January 31.

As determined earlier, the prioritised age group inhabitants above 50 years and individuals beneath 50 years with related comorbidities shall be coated within the third section. Sources stated, round 26 lakh individuals within the State fall within the class.
